FAQs

Find out more about the basics, fees, insurance, etc. below.

+ What does therapy cost?

Without insurance coverage, our fees range from $80 - $250 depending on therapist experience and your financial need.

+ What about insurance?

Many of our therapists are in network with Aetna, and BCBS. We are also in network with the New School Student Resources Plan (*While this is a subsidiary of United Healthcare, we are not in network with United Healthcare as a whole). We are out of network with all other insurances, but be sure to call your insurance to find if you are entitled to any reimbursement. Every little bit helps!

+ What is therapy like?

Therapy is a relationship. It requires commitment. You will meet with your therapist at least once a week for 45 minutes. Together, you will explore your relationship to yourself, others, and the systems you exist within.

+ How can I make an appointment?

Reach out! Our front desk will help match you with a therapist based on availability, financial need, and expertise.

+ Do you offer free consultations?

Always! We offer free 10-15 minute consultations to everyone. The best way to decide if therapy at Wove is right for you is to speak directly with one of our amazing therapists.

+ Is therapy in person or remote?

Our therapists offer both. When safe to meet in person (according to CDC guidelines), proof of vaccination and self-monitoring is required. Our physical offices are located in Midtown:

39 West 32nd Street, Suite 1103-4
(between Broadway and 5th Ave)
New York, New York 10001

+ What if I live out of New York state?

Unfortunately, you must be in NY state to receive therapy even for telehealth.

+ What if I can't afford therapy?

We believe therapy should be accessible. Should Wove not be able to accommodate your financial needs, there are a number of free and low-cost resources you can look into.
