    Karina is a first generation Latina, bilingual, and hard of hearing Licensed Mental Health Counselor who is passionate about providing an authentic and unique interpersonal space for her clients to promote autonomy, healing and personal growth. Karina believes that the interpersonal experience is the key to understanding a client's unique narratives, experiences and intersecting identities. Karina engages therapy through a holistic, socially just, and collaborative perspective to foster a safer, non-judgemental, and meaningful interpersonal experience. Karina strives to promote self-reflection, change, curiosity and self-acceptance.

    Karina received her MA in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness at New York University and her BA in John Jay College of Criminal Justice in Forensic Psychology. Karina has experience with working with adolescents, adults and seniors from various and diverse backgrounds, disability statuses and mental health challenges. Karina’s clinical work has focused on trauma, relational dynamics, interpersonal, intersectional, vocational development, identity-building, reconstructing narratives, existential processing of life stages, and challenging core beliefs.
