As a Muslim American woman from a multicultral background, Rebecca believes strongly in the importance of cultural humility and taking a social justice lens to counseling. Her main goal in therapy is to create a safe therapeutic space where clients feel comfortable and supported through unconditional positive regard. Her approach to therapy intersects aspects of Multicultural Counseling, Psychodynamic Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and CBT, tailored to the needs of her clients.
Rebecca received her MA in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University and her BA in Communication Studies at Temple University. She completed her graduate internship at LifeStance Health, where she counseled adolescents, adults, and couples of various racial and ethnic backgrounds, sexual orientations, religions, and disability statuses.
